Why I think you should invest in DJI Osmo Pocket 3!
I bought a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in May 2025, and I haven’t looked back since. The reason I bought it initially was to vlog my time at SXSW London (which you can see more of here https://youtu.be/B5ijac_UzDw?si=9CGv6LuP4GdBdQcu ) but I always knew I would use it for work reasons too.
Previously, I had my Sony FX3 as my one and only camera, and I didn’t have the funds to purchase a mirrorless body, so I did some research into a camera that I could use in my content creation and the work itself.
What’s so great about this camera?
It’s super compact
Up to 4K horizontal
Up to 3K vertical
DJI mic automatically connects
Timelapse, video, photo and slo-mo capabilities
It doesn’t eat into your phone storage
I now use the DJI Pocket 3 for various situations. If you need a safety wide at the back of a wedding or a conference that you can mount up high on a light stand, and monitor and control from your phone, it’s perfect. It also eliminates the need for a larger gimbal setup, so I have used it for wide establishing shots of event spaces. On top of that, I’ve used the vertical mode to create social content that is much higher quality than if I were to use my phone.
It comes at a price point of £489 for the camera itself and £619 for the creator combo which includes a DJI mic 2 and further accessories.
